Dave and Dana Hill are a unique act in the world of magic: They make up the only full time touring father and son magic show. From comedy magic to full scale Illusions they can handle all size venues. Wherever they perform audiences are left with smiles and a sense of wonder.

Close-up and street magician: Dana Hill is an award winning magician. Dana is one of Americas best young talents he already has performed from one end of the country to the other. Dana calls Eastern North Carolina home and would love to be the magic at your next event.

Comedian and Magician Gary Shelton has been making audiences laugh and wonder since the late 70s. His humor is southern flavored and family friendly; his magic brings out the wonder in audiences of any age. From National TV to small town venues he is at home with audiences of all sizes. Comedian Gary Shelton has been making audiences laugh since the late 70s. His humor is southern flavored and family friendly; equally comfortable on a comedy club stage or church fellowship halls his act brings out the wonder and laughter in audiences of any age. From National TV to small town venues he is at home with audiences of all sizes.

Face Painters chrisifacepainting

Robin Ware enjoys face painting so much, and it really shows in her work. She says, Theres nothing in this world to compare to the smile of a child when you give them the mirror to see their face painting for the first time. Its why I do this! She is constantly learning and growing in her craft and specializes in full face painting and glitter tattoos. Her talent and enthusiasm makes her an instant success at every event.

Chrisi Willis is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts with a degree in animation. She also brings a rich theater background to her face painting repertoire. Children and adults are both comfortable with her relaxed and patient manner. Chrisi can do most themes with enough notice she can even incorporate a companys logo into her designs. Chrisi and all of our face painters use hypo allergenic face paints that are all easily washed with soap and water.

Norma Hill has been face painting for over 15 years and is a hit and any event lucky enough to have her there. She is both talented in tattoo style face painting as well as full face painting. Her brushes and sponges bring forth a wild gathering of bears, tigers, monsters, princesses and much more. Norma and all of our face painters use hypo allergenic face paints that are all easily washed with soap and water.

Basic package: Comedy magic show using an instant theater in your partys locale, a live rabbit produced by the birthday child who is the star of the show, plenty of audience participation, a balloon sculpture for the birthday child. Every kid receives a Free Dream Certificate that teaches a magic trick. Total time 40 min.

What some refer to as balloon twisting we simply call Airwear, Shelton show can provide you a number of talented and entertaining balloon twisters. Each have a unique repertoire and are versatile enough to handle most any situation. We pride ourselves on not only being excellent balloon twisters but also entertaining while we work. Shelton Show not only preaches leaving a green footprint, we practice it. We use the finest quality in biodegradable balloons. Our balloon pumps use no flora carbons and have a zero environmental impact.

Gary Shelton has been twisting balloons for over 20 years, he is known for his machinegun

comedy as he twists balloons at a break neck pace. He has crisscrossed the country not only

Dave Hill is one of the leading balloon suppliers in the United States. He routinely teaches

twisting to packed conferences throughout America and other countries. He too is known as a

leading proponent of entertaining while he works. He has published numerous balloon routines.

Dana Hill is the son of a balloon twister but can stand on his own merits quite easily. Dana is a young and entertaining twister who is known for making balloons the bring gasp and giggles from the most discerning audiences. Dana is a favorite of young people for his high energy and engaging style.

Roy Holton twisted fire hoses for the first part of his life as a professional firefighter with the city of New Bern fire dept. He is one the most patient and hardworking balloon twister on our staff. Roy has studied twisting and entertaining for the last seven years. His balloons and his numerous clown characters are hit wherever he works

Holiday shows are numerous including Halloween and Christmas and the 4th of July. Given enough notice Gary can build a show around most any party theme.Can the show be outside?Yes, but keep in mind all the variables that can cause havoc at outdoor parties. Obviously weather plays a huge role, rain, heat, cold and wind can sap the fun from a party quickly. Also the neighbors lawn mowers, chain saws and barking dogs can put a real damper on the party.We suggest allowing the guest to arrive and play outside during the first 30 minutes or so this allows stragglers time to get to the party. Then bring the kids into the performance area. After the show then open the presents and lastly do the cake and ice cream. How much space does the performer need?Simply moving the coffee table and giving the kids and area to sit on the floor is fine. It is remarkable what a backdrop that erects in seconds can do to add a sense of wonder to the party.What about a themed party?Gary can perform theme shows; He has a Pirate themed, a Princess themed and a Harry Potter wizards party. Holiday shows are numerous including Halloween and Christmas and the 4th of July. Given enough notice Gary can build a show around most any parties theme.How long does it take a magician or clown to set up?15 minutes once they get their items to the performance area. It's a good idea to allow the magicians these minutes in privacy so all the things the kids see forthcoming are surprises. How long does the show last?The show itself runs 35 to 40 minutes if balloon sculptures and or face painting are included additional time will be needed.Can the performer make something special appear? Like a present?We can make everything from a dollhouse to a full sized person appear. Note special arrangements made need to be made for this and extra fee may be required.Can the magician or clown make a rabbit appear?Yes, and he allows the birthday child and their friends to make the rabbit appear in a magical finale. After the rabbit makes it's appearance, all the children are allowed to pet it while learning the proper ways of meeting animals they don't know. We encourage photos at this time because the kids are sure to talk about this for years to come.

Birthday Party Planning How To Plan A Home Birthday Party Use Scroll Slider Here By Gary Shelton and Ralph MetzlerI have worked as a magician since 1976 and done hundreds of childrens birthday parties in people's homes. The settings have varied from intimate gatherings to extravagant events. Each of these parties main aim was to make the birthday one to remember. If you have never planned a party where do you begin?Date and TimeFirst off decide on a day and time. Saturday and Sunday afternoons are popular for parties, but they are also popular kid's sports, family outings even other birthday parties. If you should decide on a weekend afternoon party decide early and get the word out to the guests as early as you can. Saturday mornings can be a great time for a party. They interfere very little with other activities as it leaves the majority of the day for other activities. This choice can even reduce the birthday stress on the guest of honor. Weekday after school parties can many times solve a lot of timing issues that families face. Party LengthTwo hours makes a great party length. The first fifteen to twenty minutes of the party allows time for late arrivals. Then the last thirty minutes should be allotted for unwrapping presents and cake and ice cream. (I always suggest the cake and ice cream for last send all those kids home before the sugar rush). That leaves roughly an hour for activities you will need to plan and direct for the kids. If you do a 3 hour party that means 2 hours of activities you will need to provide.Decide on a ThemeYou don't need a theme, but it will often help make planning easier. If your daughter's favorite things at the moment are Dora the explorer, theme the party around them. If your son's passion is Harry Potter, you have your theme. Others use baseball, soccer, football, ballet, dinosaurs, Cinderella, etc. Many people will theme their parties around the entertainment they have planned. For example, a magician will be performing so the theme is MAGIC, a clown is coming to the party so a CLOWN theme is planned, etc.As far as themes go, don't worry that absolutely everything at the party must fit the theme. A few decorations are fine, a cake is great, but there is no need to stress-out because you can't find an entertainer that does a Star Wars show to fit your theme. Remember that a party should be fun for everyone, including the planner.DecorationsWhen it comes to decorating, all you need to find are Harry Potter party items. You don't need to have everything "Harry Potter" either. A few major items are fine; the rest of the decorations can be the themes colors.InvitationsYour invitation can set the theme for the coming party. It even can make a subtle gift idea for parents unsure of one your childs favorite things. Send out the invitations at least two weeks in advance so that the guest parents have time to plan. FoodIf the party is scheduled during or close to lunch or dinner, serving food is essential. During a party the children are usually having so much fun with each other that serving a "normal" meal is not only unnecessary, but also unneeded. The children want to get back to the party activities as soon as possible; so pizza, pigs in a blanket, or sandwiches and chips are usually perfect. In essence finger foods make for the least trouble and are usually easiest to prepare. CakeHere is an area where you have lots of options. You can have a cake decorated and shaped to go with your theme, or a traditional cake just using the theme colors. You can have cake and ice cream or an ice cream cake. This is an area where your creativity can really come out. A great idea that is gaining popularity is to have the cake at the party; the child blows out the candles, then put the cake aside and serves the children cupcakes. Kids love them, they are easier to serve, and you will have a lovely cake for an intimate family celebration of the child's birthday.Games & ActivitiesYou will almost always need to plan at least one for the party, even if you have an entertainer coming. Activities can range from a game of hide and seek to an inflatable bounce ride in your backyard. Don't overload the kids with activities, but make sure there is enough for them to do so they aren't just running around the house.EntertainmentI left entertainment for last in the FAQ, but if you decide to hire entertainment for your party, do that first! The best entertainers are booked far in advance, so if you send out the invitations and then call the entertainers, you may not be able to get them on the date and time you need. Entertainment seldom matches your party theme unless you theme the party around the entertainer or hire a costumed character. Don't worry so much about the entertainment matching your theme; be more concerned with making sure the children are entertained. There are a variety of birthday party entertainers out there with a wide range of prices.When calling, there are several things you need ask. What age group is their show most suited for? What do they do in their show? What does their package include? Do they do balloon animals? How long is their performance? How much experience do they have? Do they have references? Do the have a website? What do they charge? Do they accept credit cards? What are the payment arrangements?
